Why Choose SoCo?
At SoCo Massage Therapy, I believe every session is a sacred opportunity to reconnect with your inner self, shed the weight of external stress, and return to a state of natural equilibrium. In today’s high-pressure environment, physical tension often accumulates unnoticed; here, you are invited to pause, breathe deeply, and begin your reset. Every individual requires a unique approach to healing. I prioritize listening to your body’s specific needs, carefully integrating modalities such as slow myofascial release, deep tissue, soothing Swedish techniques, therapeutic stretching, and focused trigger point therapy. Whether your goal is managing chronic pain, recovering from an active day outdoors, or simply finding a moment of stillness, your treatment is thoughtfully crafted to enhance your physical comfort and emotional vitality. Choosing SoCo means choosing expert, intuitive bodywork grounded in an anatomical understanding and delivered with a serene, purposeful touch. Nestled on the west side of Colorado Springs, my studio serves as a tranquil sanctuary for those coming off the trails or stepping away from a demanding work week. I view massage as a fundamental pillar of health rather than a rare indulgence. Beyond the table, I am dedicated to empowering you with an understanding of your own physical patterns, fostering a sense of lasting awareness and well-being that stays with you long after your visit has concluded.
Hi, I’m Kathy—owner of SoCo Massage Therapy. I moved to Colorado Springs from Florida about eight years ago, and this beautiful, outdoorsy town has become home for me and my four-legged hiking buddy, Steel.I graduated from the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy—one of the nation’s top programs—where my instructors taught me to blend solid clinical knowledge with intuition and to really listen with my hands. Over the years, I’ve refined a Cyriax-based approach that helps get to the root of pain, rather than just chasing symptoms. My path has taken me through some amazing spaces: working at the Ritz-Carlton, in salt caves and float spas, and being mentored by an acupuncturist. In 2020, a personal injury and long recovery deepened everything I thought I knew about the body and reminded me that massage can reach places medicine sometimes can’t. Whether you’re dealing with pain, stress, or just need a quiet reset, I’m here to hold space for you—one thoughtful, intuitive session at a time.
What MyClients Feel
"I saw Kathy for the first time Monday. I had my left hip replaced on April 29. Recovery is frustrating. I push to hard I then have pain in my legs. I don't push enough they tighten up. Last week my legs were sore so I made an appointment to see her. Right from the start she made me feel welcome and relaxed. She adjusted pressure lighter in some spots harder in others. She catered it to what I needed. Reminding me that recovery takes time and allow my body to heal at its pace not mine. Looking for someone who will adjust your session to meet your needs. Whether it's a deep tissue or mild. Just let her know during your session and she adjusts accordingly. Highly relaxing."

"When the universe smiles on you and puts someone like Kathy in your life, you pay it forward, so here goes. I was a physical wreck and knew I needed massage work. I've been thru the process many times in the past, and my daughter is a massage therapist herself - alas, living 1500 miles away. On to the internet I went to start searching and I picked Kathy just based on location and her Google reviews. Thank you universe !!! It was hands down the best massage of my life. She had obviously read my intake form and given it a lot of thought, and we had a discussion about the myriad of issues I have before the session. Then she went to work, and OMG, a true healer !! Not only that, she's kind, funny, easy to talk to, and the environment was pure relaxation. I'm better, not fixed yet, that's a process that takes time. But I've found my massage therapist for life. Do not bother looking anywhere else, Kathy is the best. She is a special human who has a gift and is sharing it with the world."

"Had my first massage with Kathy and I've been looking to find someone that is attentive, thorough and provides a good massage. Well, I believe I found everything I was looking for with Kathy. She was exceptional and listened to my concerns and went over things with me. She helped relieve a nagging shoulder pain and she found tension in my back that she worked out. I felt more flexible and better after visiting her. She even went as far as to provide information for me on stretches and a way to help my shoulder afterwards. Kathy's places nice and a comfortable space. I definitely recommend Kathy and I already booked my second visit with her."
